The Australian Power Quality and Reliability Centre ( APQRC) is a centre of excellence for research, education and consulting in distribution and transmission system power quality, reliability and renewable energy systems. The Centre was established in 1996 as Australia’s first Power Quality Centre and has an ongoing close relationship with the power industry.
APQRC conducts a wide range of applied research into power quality, distribution system reliability, and renewable energy system integration.
APQRC runs regular continuing education courses in the areas of power quality as well as other specialised courses from time to time.
APQRC also provides further study opportunities for high calibre electrical engineering graduates to work on Doctor of Philosophy and Masters (Research) projects with APQRC at UOW.
APQRC expertise is also available to industry for advice and consultation work in areas such as power quality monitoring and reporting, power quality investigations, and equipment testing.
